Journal of Human Augmentation
Journal of Human Augmentation is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to advancing in-depth research—at the scientific, engineering, design, and social-cognitive levels—on technologies that extend, restore, or support human capabilities. The journal brings together research from biomedical engineering, rehabilitation science, robotics, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, human–computer interaction, industrial design, and ethics.
The journal focuses on the development and evaluation of technologies aimed at enhancing human physical, sensory, cognitive, and interactional capabilities, covering wearable devices and assistive equipment, intelligent prostheses, rehabilitation robotics, neural interfaces, sensory substitution systems, and human–machine collaboration. It also explores how human augmentation technologies can be designed, validated, and implemented scientifically to improve individual functional performance, independence, safety, and quality of life.
